About Charles Brown...

Charles Brown has a heart for young people and has committed his life to Raising Other People's Kids. At the age of 49, Charles has already managed to put twenty-nine years of full-time experience of working with young people (specifically urban youth) under his belt. His track record proves him to be a seasoned veteran in the field of working with youths & families. Charles has served as the City Life Club Director for Central Indiana Youth for Christ. His main responsibility was to coordinate programs within the Indianapolis Public Schools. Charles also has worked with Area Youth Ministry as their Program Director, helping to create their Young Champions program. With AYM, Charles has facilitated young men’s groups in several schools, in addition to supervising 4 other staff in 8 different schools. Charles is the former Youth Minister of New Covenant Church, under the leadership of Pastor Bryan Hudson. Currently, Charles contracts with Warren Township Schools in Indianapolis to provide Early Intervention Services for students K through 6th grade.  Charles also contracts with Choices, an organization providing “wrap-around” services for youth and families. His work with Choices, comprises of mentoring some of the most challenging youth in Central Indiana. Charles is an adoptive father of two and is currently raising two foster sons. In his spare time, Charles enjoys reading, chess, and tech of all kind.
